An invitation to explore a sense of ‘lightness’ through movement and art, embodying this quality and giving creative expression to it.
Our day will begin with discovering how it feels to be light in the dance, to breathe freely, to expand and be inspired. With the support of music, we’ll be engaging the light and lyrical dancer that potentially exists in all of us.
Our exploration will continue through the playful use of materials which speak of lightness, crafting translucent banners from layers of assorted tissue papers and coloured paint washes, art through which the light itself can dance.
And, finally, we’ll return to the dance, inspired by the art we have created.
The location for this workshop is the Millennium hall in the village of Gartocharn, overlooking the truly inspiring mountain landscape of Loch Lomond.
All art materials are included. Cost: £55
Places are limited on this workshop so please book early
to avoid disappointment.
We look forward to welcoming you on this day’s adventure, exploring the potential depths of light.
