This is a 1day intuitive painting workshop
SAT 19TH MAY 10.30am - 4.00pm that will help you expand and go deeper into your own unique creative process.
The Elements contain a rich source of symbolic meaning for us on many levels; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual that we can draw on for inspiration for self expression and creativity.
Using the 4 elements; Earth, Fire, Water and Air, for inspiration we will begin with a step by step series of simple drawing and acrylic painting techniques, exercises and prompts that allow you to explore the different qualities of the 4 elements, what they mean to you and how you can express this through mark-making, texture, and colour.
Working in small series on paper with each element, you will choose what element inspires you the most and develop it further by building up layers of paint and mixed media on a primed panel board to create a final piece of artwork.
In this workshop we will be using acrylic paint on A3 heavy mixed media paper and 1 primed mahogany plywood panel 30cmx30cm. (More boards will be available to purchase if you wish to do more).
All Materials and equipment is included.
This is an experiential, process-based workshop that will help you develop a deeper understanding and awareness of your own creative process and expand your creative vocabulary allowing more of your own unique self to be expressed through your artwork. It is also perfect for anyone wanting to explore and develop an abstract painting process.
Tea/coffee & biscuits provided. Bring your own lunch.
